Indications
- cerebrovascular accidents according to the ischemic type (acute and recovery periods) and hemorrhagic type (recovery period);
- psycho-organic syndrome against the background of involutional and degenerative processes of the brain;
- the consequences of cerebrovascular insufficiency or primary and secondary cognitive impairment in the elderly, characterized by impaired memory, confusion, disorientation, decreased motivation and initiative, decreased concentration;
- violation of behavior and affective sphere in old age: emotional lability, increased irritability, decreased interest; senile pseudomelancholy;
- multi-infarct dementia.
Dosage regimen
Intramuscularly or intravenously.
Intramuscularly (slowly) or intravenously (drip) at a dose of 1 000 mg / day.
With intravenous administration, the contents of one ampoule (4 ml) are diluted in 50 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution, the infusion rate of 60-80 drops per minute..
The duration of treatment is usually 10 days. If necessary, treatment can be continued as prescribed by the doctor, depending on the clinical picture and the characteristics of the course of the disease, age and tolerance to the drug.
After stabilization of the patient’s condition, treatment with oral dosage forms of the drug is possible.
Doses may be increased at the discretion of the attending physician.
