Indications

Indications

Infiltration (including intraosseous), conduction, retrobulbar (regional), epidural anesthesia; vagosympathetic cervical, perinephral, ​​circular and paravertebral blockade.
Dosage regimen

Dosage regimen

The dose and concentration of procaine solution depend on the nature of the surgery, method of application, condition and age of the patient.

For infiltration anesthesia

use 5 mg / ml solution

For conduction anesthesia

use 10-20 mg / ml solutions (up to 25 ml)

For epidural anesthesia

use a 20 mg / ml solution (20-25 ml)

With perirenal blockade (according to A.V. Vishnevsky)

50-80 ml of 5 mg / ml solution is injected into the perinephric fiber

With circular and paravertebral blockade

5-10 ml of 5 mg / ml solution is injected intradermally

With vagosympathetic blockade

15-50 ml of a 5 mg / ml solution is administered

With retrobulbar (regional) anesthesia

5-8 ml of a 20 mg / ml solution are administered

Higher doses for adult infiltration anesthesia: the first single dose at the beginning of the operation is not more than 150 ml for 5 mg/ml solution. In the future, no more than 400 ml for 5 mg/ml solution is administered during each hour of surgery. To reduce absorption and lengthen the action with local anesthesia, an additional 0,1% solution of epinephrine hydrochloride is added - 1 drop per 2-5-10 ml procaine solution. The maximum dose for use in children over 12 years old is 15 mg/kg.
